Ratings deliver transparency and make it easier for direct insurers to reliably evaluate the long-term solid capitalisation of a reinsurance company. We therefore believe that it is important to have leading rating agencies evaluate our solvency and financial performance at regular intervals. We were even able to retain our A+ rating during the financial crisis and have had it revalidated on an annual basis since 2008.
